

From "Change" to "Good": A Forum Decoding the Road to the Value Jump of Urban Re
On the afternoon of April 24th, the 7th Smart City and Intelligent Construction Industry Expo and Forum "Regeneration, Symbiosis and Rebirth"-Urban Renewal Sub-forum was held in Wuhan International Expo Center. Under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Wuhan Municipal People's Government, Wuhan Housing and Urban Renewal Bureau and Wuhan Natural Resources and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, this forum was hosted by Wuhan Urban Construction Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd., undertaken by Wuhan International Exhibition Group Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Wuhan Civil Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Building Economic Promotion Association. More than 200 experts and business representatives from urban renewal implementation entities, finance, design, construction, operation and other fields gathered. The forum aims to gather the strengths of "politics, enterprises, research, finance and wisdom" and jointly explore innovative paths and practical experiences of smart empowerment of high-quality urban development through policy interpretation, case sharing and frontier discussion.

Shi Peng, a first-class researcher of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Wuhan Municipal People's Government, stressed in his speech that 2026 is a crucial year for the three-year urban renewal, and the current urban renewal work is essentially different from the traditional "three old" transformation or real estate development. Mei Jiangang, the moderator of the forum and the chairman of Beijing Kaichen Oriental Digital Technology Co., Ltd., pointed out in the sharing that AI can bid farewell to planning "blind people touch the elephant" through accurate surveying and mapping and spatial modeling, and solve the "hurry-scurry" by means of intelligent security and environmental monitoring, thus building a new system of scientific planning and intelligent governance. In the theme pavilion of intelligent construction and urban renewal of Shuangzhi Expo held in the same period, the booth system of the Municipal Housing Bureau and the Capital Construction Bureau displayed policy tools and benchmarking cases; City Investment Group, Urban Construction Group, Metro Group, Chengfa Group, China Construction International, China Communications First Bureau and other industry leaders gathered to discuss cooperation.
