02AI Creation Platform: Paradigm Upgrade from "Drawing" to "Design"

"Creating Mirror Rubik's Cube" AI Creation Platform



Closely following the theme of "Empowering the Intellectuals" of the Expo, the AI creation platform of "Creating Mirror Rubik's Cube" of Central South Institute of Construction and the integrated intelligent design platform were jointly exhibited for the first time. The platform explores the mode upgrade from AI drawing to AI design, and based on the technical path of "scene-data-algorithm", transforms AI tools into a perceptual closed-loop productivity. The function covers the core requirements of architectural creation, including application scenarios such as design intention generation, conceptual design generation, design achievement generation and intelligent editing. It includes rendering of renderings, elevation generation, general layout planning, analysis drawing generation, animation generation, gallery design and other functions.

The platform focuses on the pain points of the whole process of campus planning and design in primary and secondary schools, builds a professional knowledge base and intelligent algorithm system, breaks through the limitations of traditional design mode, realizes intelligent generation of schemes, automatic verification of compliance and efficient rendering of results, and empowers design and creation with a new mode of man-machine collaboration. The results have landed in many actual campus projects, forming multiple achievements such as patents, papers, standards and monographs.


03 positive BIM technology: Ezhou Huahu Airport sets an industry benchmark

Ezhou Huahu Airport Project is the first professional freight hub airport in Asia and the fourth in the world. The first batch of national "four-type airports" demonstration projects and the BIM model list measurement and pricing reform pilot project of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development have been widely concerned and praised by the industry. It provides a demonstration for China's construction industry to adopt BIM technology for design system management in the whole process of design, procurement, construction, project management, measurement and pricing, and operation and maintenance.


Ezhou Huahu Airport


By strictly implementing the BIM technical standard of the 360,000-word project, the project has created a digital chassis of Ezhou Huahu Airport with 37 million+components and 1.5 billion+attribute information! Through all-digital project process management, the digital construction quality of design-construction can be effectively guaranteed, and the construction period can be saved by 200 days+and the project cost can be saved by 300 million yuan+! Through the practice of digital construction, I have compiled 3 BIM standards for civil aviation, applied for 10+ items of national intellectual property rights, and am applying for 40+ items, and applied to the Digital Construction and Operation and Maintenance Technology Research Center of Civil Aviation Airport.

In response to the call of "green development" of the conference, Central South Institute of Architecture launched an integrated assembly product of foamed ceramic wallboard. This product takes high-performance foamed ceramics as the core substrate, which integrates green energy-saving, thermal insulation, sound insulation, waterproof and fireproof, structural durability, etc., and truly realizes continuous thermal insulation and zero thermal bridge loss, which fundamentally eliminates the common quality defects such as cracking, falling off and leakage in the traditional external thermal insulation system of external walls, and replaces the traditional complicated practice of multi-process and multi-material compounding with an integrated assembled system. It not only solves the industry pain points of traditional exterior wall materials in terms of fire prevention, thermal insulation, waterproof and sound insulation, but also effectively reduces the project cost and operation and maintenance cost, and provides a safer, more efficient, more comfortable and more environmentally friendly full-scene intelligent construction solution for modern buildings.

Relying on the digital design platform and flexible intelligent production line, products can be accurately cut and personalized according to architectural requirements, and the decorative layer can be customized with various textures such as stone, wood grain and metal to meet the requirements of different architectural styles and design languages. The integrated assembled products of foamed ceramic wallboard adopt dry operation in an all-round way, and there is no wet operation, dust and waste on the construction site, which completely bid farewell to the problems of dust pollution and construction waste in traditional external wall construction. The ultra-light design effectively reduces the transportation cost, the difficulty of hoisting and the intensity of manual installation, and significantly improves the efficiency of field assembly. The independent enclosure system with flexible joints can perfectly adapt to the small deformation of the main structure during use, enhance the wind pressure resistance and seismic performance, and ensure the safety and reliability of the whole life cycle of the building. The whole process can be combined with the collaborative management of BIM model to realize the traceability and installation visualization of components, which not only improves the construction accuracy and efficiency, but also provides a complete digital asset for the later operation and maintenance, helping the project management to achieve the comprehensive goals of cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.





05New intelligent construction technology: connecting numbers with intelligence to break through the barriers between construction industry and manufacturing industry

Based on industrial software and artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and intelligent terminals are introduced on the basis of digital construction, so as to realize intelligent construction with few people or no one, and create a new EPC mode of "VDC+OEM". By introducing the concept of product lifecycle management (PLM) and model-based product definition technology (MBD) in manufacturing industry, the PLM platform for building lifecycle management is fully applied. At present, drawing-free design, drawing-free construction and drawing-free recruitment have been applied in many engineering projects, achieving the goals of "three-dimensional delivery, drawing-free construction, controllable cost, shortened construction period and improved quality".



Hubei China Tobacco Innovation Center Project


Hubei Zhongyan Innovation Center project is the first civil building benchmark in China to realize the whole life cycle of "one model to the end, one model to the end". Relying on the self-developed life cycle management platform and single data source system, the whole process of design, deepening, processing and construction is opened up with the three-dimensional model as the unified language, which provides a replicable and scalable digital management paradigm of "design-led EPC+ cloud collaboration+three-dimensional delivery" for the field of civil architecture. The project is based on the cloud collaborative platform, and the model realizes the integration of exploration geology, site environment, building components, structural nodes, electromechanical pipelines, curtain wall nodes and so on into a unified digital space. Relying on the project template library and material library of the platform, quickly build a high-quality visual model; Combined with acoustic simulation, air conditioning simulation, fire evacuation simulation and other multidisciplinary simulation pre-verification, the performance of the building in the design stage is verified.


The lean management platform independently developed by Central South Institute of Architecture integrates the functions of model viewing, schedule management, problem closed loop, safety monitoring, etc., realizes mobile control through small programs, and supports automatic generation of weekly reports, real-time tracking of progress, and access to photos and monitoring at any time. Digital construction is the natural extension and practice of digital design. Through the same model, the same platform and the same data source, Hubei Zhongyan Innovation Center project has realized the high-fidelity transmission of design results and the fine control of construction process. This project is a new industrial product of modular housing construction in the Division. The project adopts the design concept of manufacturing and assembly, component-driven, modular and standardized design methods, and comprehensively considers the whole process of downstream procurement, production, transportation and installation to develop modular building products and realize industrial manufacturing, which is a promising solution for the transformation and upgrading of building industrialization. The major innovation lies in the overall modularity of this structural system: prefabricated standardized two-dimensional modular units in the factory-transported to the site and quickly assembled into three-dimensional room units-cast lightweight concrete after overall hoisting-to form a building with complete use functions. It has fundamentally changed the traditional construction method and made construction as efficient as "building a car". Digital-driven "smart brain" is applied in the whole process: module splicing and pipeline layout are simulated in advance, model data are converted into processing instructions in the production stage, and the precise positioning of the digital model is relied on in the installation stage to realize zero error of module positioning, so that the design, production and construction form a data closed loop.

The project is safe, reliable, green, energy-saving, comfortable and livable, with greatly improved construction efficiency, economic feasibility and strong popularization. The self-weight of the structure is reduced by 30% ~ 40%; The composite wall structure blocks the sound bridge, and the sound insulation capacity is ≥55dB. Carbon emission is reduced by 40%, steel recovery rate is more than 90%, and dry construction basically realizes zero waste and reduces construction waste. Through EPC general contracting mode, all links of design, production and construction are deeply integrated, and the cumulative error is systematically reduced by "factory prefabrication+on-site assembly", and all construction tasks are completed in only 90 days, and the construction period is shortened by 40%-50% compared with traditional construction; The construction cost is basically the same as the traditional way, which is 15%-20% lower than other prefabricated buildings, breaking through the industry pain point of "assembly is high price".
