The Second Forum on Comprehensive Management and Application Technology of Smart Urban Energy was he
On April 24th, during the 6th Double Smart Expo, the 2nd Forum on Comprehensive Management and Application Technology of Urban Smart Energy was held at the Wuhan International Expo Center. The forum focused on technological innovation in smart energy and the digital transformation of urban energy systems, gathering experts, enterprise representatives and research institutions from the national energy field. In-depth discussions will be held on core topics such as virtual power plants, intelligent inspection, green power trading, and energy security.

The keynote speech focuses on the digital transformation of urban energy systems
At the Second Urban Smart Energy Comprehensive Management and Application Technology Forum, Sun Pu, the general manager of Wuhan Energy Service Co., LTD., delivered a speech on the theme of "Energy Service Companies' Intelligent Innovation Reshapes New Trends in Energy Security", elaborating on how to enhance energy security guarantee capabilities through intelligent means.
Sun Pu said that the third-party intelligent construction monitoring system, relying on Internet of Things technology, builds a "ground-underground" three-dimensional perception network, which can monitor gas, water, power and communication pipelines in the construction area in real time, achieve 24-hour blind-spot-free supervision at low cost, and effectively prevent damage to medium and high-pressure pipelines. This technology has ensured the safety of gas usage for approximately 500,000 households and reduced economic losses by over 20 million yuan. The gas station inspection robot integrates navigation and positioning, multi-sensor fusion and AI image recognition technology. It can independently complete a 600-meter route and 1.5-hour all-weather inspection, accurately identify instrument data, gas leakage and equipment abnormalities, and achieve "zero missed inspection" through functions such as methane remote measurement and infrared thermal imaging.
Qiu Yuhua, deputy director of the Pipeline Operation Department of Wuhan Gas Group Co., LTD., shared the measures taken by Wuhan Gas Group to enhance the informatization of pipeline inspection and related new technologies, focusing on the informatization upgrade and technological innovation of gas pipeline inspection.
Qiu Yuhua focused on introducing the construction and application of the group's intelligent inspection system. This system realizes the digital management of pipelines and inspection objects through standardized basic data, precise coordinate positioning and binding of equipment ledgers, effectively solving the problem of traditional reliance on manual experience inheritance and enabling new employees to quickly master the inspection process. In terms of the application of new technologies, Wuhan Gas Group has collaborated with Optics Valley Digital Industry Group to introduce a low-altitude unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform, deploying 128 sets of automatic hangars and 186 UAVs. It is planned to be put into use for pipeline inspection, construction supervision and emergency response in the Optics Valley area in November this year, exploring an integrated intelligent inspection model of air, land and space, and further enhancing the efficiency and technological level of gas safety management.

Two signings will help Wuhan explore application scenarios of smart energy
During the Second Urban Smart Energy Comprehensive Management and Application Technology Forum, Wuhan Energy Planning and Design Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Jineng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. were held. Wuhan City New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. and Goodwe Co., Ltd. have completed the signing of the smart energy project.

Wuhan Energy Planning and Design Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Jineng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. will deepen their collaboration in energy planning and design as well as environmental protection technology research and development, with a focus on promoting the optimization of regional energy systems and the practical application of low-carbon technologies. Wuhan City New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. and Goodwe Co., Ltd. have completed the signing of a smart energy project, focusing on the synergy between new energy investment and virtual power plant technology. By integrating distributed energy resources and digital platform capabilities, they aim to accelerate the large-scale promotion of green power trading and power spot market pilot projects.
Wuhan City New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. stated that this signing aims to connect resources from the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, form a closed-loop cooperation model of "technology research and development - project investment - scene application", jointly explore innovative application scenarios of smart energy in Wuhan, and provide replicable demonstration cases for the transformation of the regional energy structure and the practice of the "dual carbon" goals.
