▷ Smart protection of the water veins of Jiangcheng creates a new chapter in reducing losses

Wuhan Water Group has joined hands with Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design and Design Institute to take "Artificial Intelligence +" as the development engine and jointly build an innovative system for leakage control in provincial capital cities in China, covering the entire municipal pipeline network of Wuhan. This system is based on "Four-dimensional GIS" and builds a precise digital twin foundation. With the help of over 5,000 intelligent sensing terminals on the "Internet of Things Platform", the pressure, flow and water quality dynamics of the pipeline network can be captured in real time. The "Cloud Computing Center" processes thousands of data per second, ensuring that over 17,000 kilometers of water supply networks are under control. It empowers water supply networks with digital intelligence to prevent leakage and reduce consumption. Its construction scale and technical level are both among the top in China.

02 Wuhan Jinkou Water Plant Smart Water Plant Upgrading and Renovation Project

▷ Build smart water plants to set industry benchmarks

Wuhan Water Group, in collaboration with the Central South Institute, successfully completed the smart water plant upgrade and transformation project of Jinkou Water Plant. This project utilized new-generation information technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence as means. Under the framework of Wuhan Water Group, it fully developed and utilized information resources, integrating all aspects and links of the water plant's production, operation, dispatching, emergency response, maintenance, operation, and decision-making. Realize the overall automation and intelligence operation of water plants, reduce the work intensity of personnel and the production cost of water plant operation, and create a smart benchmark water plant that is safe, high-quality, intelligent, efficient, energy-saving and ecological. This project was awarded the "Typical Case of Smart Water Management" by the Science and Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development in 2024.

03 AI Smart Electronic Leak Detector

The intelligent listening water protection network reduces costs, increases efficiency and ensures safety

The intelligent electronic leak detector independently developed by Wuhan Water Group is a municipal water supply pipeline leakage detection device based on Internet of Things technology. This device, based on the traditional mechanical listening rod, adds a sound pickup module and an intelligent module. It can collect sound data in real time and analyze it through the cloud platform, improving the discrimination accuracy of the machine learning model and accurately locating the leakage point of the pipeline. Thus, the cost of manual leak detection can be reduced, the efficiency of leak detection can be improved, and the waste of water resources can be decreased. At the same time, enhance the safety and stability of urban water supply networks and reduce social problems caused by pipeline leaks.
